Volunteers are vital to The Wilsonville Food Bank

Last year, volunteers at our food bank contributed more than 11,300 hours. A value of more than $177,430.

While we have a wait list for volunteering at the Food Bank itself, we currently have volunteer opportunities in our Outreach Committee helping with events like Fun in the Park, Wilsonville Brewfest and more. This is an important and fun way to help the Food Bank and Wilsonville Community Sharing.

If you are interested in volunteering contact Leigh, our Food Bank Coordinator at (503)682-6939 or leigh@wilsonvillecommunitysharing.org

Spread the word

Wilsonville Community Sharing has been a respected clearinghouse for local and county services for years, but Wilsonville’s tremendous growth means that there are hundreds of new residents who don’t know who we are or what we do.

If you become aware of someone who needs assistance in the community, encourage them to call WCS, suggest they check our website or call our Information and Referral Specialist for a confidential conversation to receive suggestions for the best way to provide support. It sometimes happens that several organizations are trying to help someone at the same time and are operating independently. Wilsonville Community Sharing can help coordinate these efforts.

Food Drives

Running a food drive is easy and fun! Here are a few tips to make the process go smoothly.

Identify a reasonable goal based on how long you’ll run the drive and how many people you expect to participate.

Decide how you will collect the donated food. Depending on the size of your drive, boxes work well.
Let us know about your drive!

Once your drive is complete, arrange to deliver food to the Wilsonville Food Bank.
